Thank you for your interest in the Y-Hike: Yosemite Trip!  The Y-Hike Pre-Orientation Trip is a great way to begin your Caltech Adventure and a great way to meet other students! You will camp and hike in one of the most spectacular places in the world - Yosemite National Park.

Our groups typically have a range of experience levels - so everyone from the novice to the seasoned outdoor enthusiast can enjoy the experience. Past groups have included new and returning students, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as women and men. The Y-Hike is organized and led by current Caltech students.

Please note: If we need to cancel the trip for any reason – things impacting our ability to safely run the trip… fires, pandemics, etc. – a full refund of the Y-Hike fee will be provided. If you change your plans and need to cancel after signing up, we will do as much as we can, but please know that we may not be able to refund your payments entirely. The earlier you can let us know, the better.

The Y-Hike is based in part on the abilities and interests of trip participants.  Please complete all applicable forms and fields so that we can organize a trip that is best suited to each participant in our group.
